Toowoomba East State School has been established since 1887. There are approximately 780 currently enrolled along with another 90 children attending preschool. The school also has currently over 76 staff working at the school with a wide range of specialties such as Physical Education, Music, Speech Pathologist, Technology and much more.
Co-curricula activities offered include cultural activities such as Junior/Senior Choirs, Drama Groups, Chess and Verse Speaking Choirs. Sporting activities include girls and boys Touch, Australian Rules Football, boys and girls Softball, Tennis, Rugby League, Soccer, Netball, Hockey, boys and girls Cricket, Volleyball and Basketball.
