Toowoomba Grammar School is a non-denominational school for boys set in the heart of one of Australia’s most beautiful provincial cities. The School is of Christian tone and character and caters for boys from Reception to Year 12 with boarding available from Years 5 to 12. The School is one of the nine member schools of the nationally known “Great Public Schools” (GPS) of Queensland.
The School is essentially academic; however, there is recognition that some boys may not wish to continue an academic tertiary career and to that end vocational courses are offered with some units being credited to tertiary diploma courses.
Academic results at Toowoomba Grammar School in recent years have been outstanding. The vast majority of boys proceed to tertiary studies and many obtain offers to study at the most prestigious universities in the country.
On the sporting field Toowoomba Grammar School is renowned as the School “That Plays The Game”. While academic endeavor receives priority, sport is encouraged. It is an essential ingredient of a well-rounded education together with an exposure to and encouragement of cultural pursuits such as music, drama and public speaking.
