Movie / Cinema Guide Toowoomba city has two cinemas showing the latest movies for residents and visitors to the city. One of the cinemas is The Strand. While this cinema is the older of the two it still showcases the latest movies. The Strand cinema is located on Margaret street on the Eastern end on the corner with Neil street just 300m up from the central Magaret and Ruthven Streets intersection. The cinema has 5 screens with 3 featuring Digital Surround Sound and 2 with Surround Sound. Toowoomba's second cinema is located at the top of the Grand Central shopping centre on the corners of Margaret and Clifford Streets 300m West of the city centre McDonalds. This cinema is the newest of the two and has 5 screens all with Digital Surround Sound and moveable arm seating.
